Joe Twanmoh, MD, MBA, FAAEM, FACEP

President & Founder

As a board-certified emergency physician, Joe is passionate about improving the patient experience through timely and efficient care. He has more than 20 years of experience as a medical director, department chair, and consultant, with proven ability in turning around emergency departments, redesigning hospital processes, and improving patient flow. Certified in Lean, Joe is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

A Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM), Joe serves as the course director for AAEM’s ED Management Solutions Conference and is past chair of its Operations Management Committee.

His expertise includes patient flow, emergency department crowding, capacity maximization, leadership and change management, delivery of care, physician/clinical relationships, operations, population health, patient satisfaction, queuing theory, and theory of constraints.

Mark Harris, MD, FACEP, FACHE

Chief Analytics Officer

Mark is a skilled physician executive with extensive experience in lean-based healthcare facility design and queuing-based mathematical flow modeling for optimizing physician and nurse staffing. His passion lies in putting theory into practice through data-driven modeling.

​

As senior vice president of innovation and flow at one of the nation’s largest physician practice management groups, Mark developed, tested, and implemented innovative queuing-based staffing methodologies and operational flow models in emergency departments across the country. He uses his more than 25 years of emergency medicine knowledge to guide clients in emergency department process, operational, and architectural redesign.

Mark’s expertise includes the theory of constraints, queuing theory, mathematical flow modeling, demand-to-capacity staffing solutions, lean-based techniques to redesign and optimize emergency department patient flow, risk management, patient safety, and emerging innovations and technologies for driving performance. A graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, Mark completed his residency at Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Ben Harris

An IT professional with over 20 years of experience delivering customer-centric products and services for Fortune 500 companies, including Microsoft and Starbucks, Ben has overseen the design and implementation of multiple data-driven applications for SMB and Enterprise organizations using the latest in cloud, data, and cybersecurity technologies. A passionate technologist that enjoys creating simple solutions to complex problems, his expertise includes business analysis, IT infrastructure, data architecture, cloud DevOps, and data visualization. Ben is a certified software engineer with extensive background in Python, JavaScript and Perl.
